This led to the realization that there was a demand for the kind of unique handcrafted leather products Floto now specializes in. Our products are known for their use of Italian hand stained leather, which is metal free, sustainable, and non-harmful to people. This traditional Tuscan tanning method results in durable, colorful leather that only gets better with age.

At our factory in Florence, Italy, a Floto leather bag goes through an average of 28 different workbenches. Each bag undergoes processes such as cutting, skiving, gluing, painting, hand stitching, and riveting to ensure its high quality. Despite the hard work, our artisans find time to appreciate life, taking long lunch breaks and enjoying a relaxed pace, reflecting the Italian way of life.
