Floto: Our Story and Craft

Floto was established in 2003 after our founder, Joe Floto, brought back a leather travel bag from Italy and noticed that people often asked him, "Where did you get that bag?"

A Typical Day: On average, a Floto bag passes through 28 different workstations in our Florence factory, from cutting and gluing to hand-stitching and riveting.

Throughout the process, we take pride in our work, laugh, and appreciate life. We start early, enjoy a long lunch and siesta, then work into the evening, pausing for wine and pasta.

Sustainable Craftsmanship

Our tanning process uses natural vegetable tannins with respect for the environment. The raw leather skins are a byproduct, and our waste is reused in other supply chains, making our tanning metal-free, sustainable, and non-harmful.
